Choose Your Level Of Involvement
It takes a great deal of poking and prodding to awaken the sleeping giant in America - that silent majority who believe in the sanctity of our Constitution.
For decades, our own government, and those we elected to represent us, presided over the steady erosion of our individual liberties, the degradation of our culture, and the marginalization of our founding principles. The time has come for Americans to unite against the threat of government intervention into our lives; intervention on a scale so vast we can scarcely recognize American society today – so different is it from the one in which we grew up.
We here have coalesced around a common cause – simple themes that resonate in the hearts of every freedom-loving American. We have gathered on street corners, in parks and on the doorstep of Congress itself. We are paying attention, we are reading, we are writing, we are listening, we are communicating, planning, organizing and meeting.
We have learned how to paint homemade signs, we have learned how to create flyers, we have learned how to call our Congressman, we have learned how to get our letters published – but now we must learn how to make a real difference.
Or everything we have done will have been for nothing.
The Staten Island Tea Party has helped by taking the lead in the early stages of our awakening, but now it is up to you. Each individual must pitch in, organizing and educating friends, relatives and neighbors in this battle against out-of-control spending, rampant regulations, and the continued impingement of our liberties. By doing this, you will help strengthen the Tea Party movement as a whole and enhance its effectiveness on a national scale.
Together, we will be a voice that cannot be ignored. A voice that calls for the unshackling of our economy, a voice that demands an end to apologizing for America’s role in the world, and a voice that will tell every politician, of every party, that the status quo in government is unacceptable and will no longer be tolerated by an engaged and informed citizenry.
The Congressional election seems like a long way off, but if we are to make a difference we must start now. As long as our elected representative helps enable the Congressional majority to carry out the policies of this dangerous administration, it is imperative that we work to send new representation to Washington.
The torch is being passed from the Tea Party leadership to you, the backbone of the movement. Only with all of us – hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands – working together, can the death grip that is squeezing the life from our Constitution be broken.

We are always interested in your input and ideas for events – the more, the better. And remember, events need not be hundreds of people gathering for a rally, an effective event can be a handful of patriots handing out 200 flyers at the local supermarket parking lot on a Saturday morning.
We would rather see dozens of small events carried out by small handfuls of people, than to spend the huge amounts of resources and time it takes to plan a full-blown Tea Party rally.
As you begin this journey into political activism, keep in mind that the Staten Island Tea Party will be with you every step of the way, helping you with planning and advice, supplying you with literature, and generally assisting in any way that we can.
