              Greetings!

Thank you for your willingness to help us restore America - one county at a time.

By adding yourself to this mailing list, you are at the start of a process that will culminate in a re-shaping of the Staten Island Republican County Committee on Election Day in September, 2011.

You've witnessed conservative "tea party" candidates winning hotly-contested primary races throughout the country this year.  The reason there were primary races is that the "establishment" Republicans were still playing the game the old way - nominating candidates that were not the people we wanted to represent us.  You witnessed this right here on Staten Island, when the county committee first attempted to nominate Vito Fossella, and then tried to block Michael Grimm by nominating Michael Allegretti.

This can be avoided if we nominate the right candidate in the first place!  So, in order to determine our own destiny we need to be the ones who choose the nominees; by doing so we avoid costly primary fights.

You are going to run for seat on the county committee so that you will have a voice in the process.  THIS IS NOT DIFFICULT!

              • You will need to make NO speeches, nor will you be forced to speak in public
              • It will cost you NO money
              • You do not need to do any campaigning
              • You will NOT become a public figure
              • You will need petition signatures (maybe a dozen) but you will not be forced to get them yourself
              • After you are appointed, there is only ONE meeting per year where your attendance will be needed if we are to succeed.

Our strength is in our numbers - we are seeking to win hundreds of seats in Election Districts throughout the borough.  Each individual race - like yours - is easy; the hard part is getting enough people to do what you are doing.   If the seat we assign to you is currently unoccupied, the simple act of collecting a dozen or so signatures will be all that is required.
We will hold your hand and take you step-by-step, in fact, we'll do almost all of the work.

As a committee-person you will be asked to choose your leadership, and most importantly, choose the candidates the party will endorse - a candidate that fits OUR profile of what an elected official should be, not the profile of a party hack.

              You will need to:

              • Confirm that you are a registered Republican by calling the Board of Elections at (866) 868-3692.  This is the only thing that needs to be done now; if you were not a registered Republican before November, 2010, you cannot participate in this project in 2011.
              • In June of 2011, you will need to gather petition signatures - usually no more than a dozen!  Sometimes as few as 8 or 10.  We will do this for you,  or you can volunteer to do it yourself.
              • On Primary Day, in September of 2011, you must go to the polls and vote for yourself, but only if you are trying to take a seat that is being challenged by another person, usually a stand-in for a party boss.  If so, you can bring family and friends to the polls - that's all it takes!  Many of these elections are won by vote totals like 7-3, 3-1, even 1-0.  If the seat is uncontested, you will simply be appointed.

If you have friends and family that you think are interested in running for a committee seat, by all means have them contact me if they have any questions, or simply fill out and submit the form above.

These are exciting times; I find it greatly rewarding and satisfying knowing that I am doing something more than just voting every other year.

Together, we can do this - we can re-take and re-make America, and we can, with education and some old fashioned common sense, sweep out the entrenched politics-as-usual attitude that got us into this mess in the first place.   Let's roll up our sleeves and get to work.

              Yours in Liberty.
